Director of Reliability and Certification

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Reliability and Certification to lead our reliability and quality assurance efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics reliability, printed circuit boards design, and certification processes for electrical products.

The Director of Reliability and Certification will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive reliability and quality strategy, leading a team of reliability engineers and quality assurance professionals, and acting as the main reliability and quality stakeholder in design review. Additionally, the candidate will review and approve reliability and functional test plans, manage the engineering laboratory, and develop standardized test protocols.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in electronics reliability, a strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, and experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment. Proven leadership skills and the ability to adapt and build processes from the ground up are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive reliability and quality strategy
  • Lead a team of reliability engineers and quality assurance professionals
  • Act as the main reliability and quality stakeholder in design review
  • Review and approve reliability and functional test plans
  • Manage the engineering laboratory and develop standardized test protocols
  • Develop internal capabilities, including MTBF modeling and accelerated life test protocol
  • Lead root cause analysis for various client support situations
  • Drive the product quality and reliability feedback loop
  • Work with the global supplier base to ensure compliance with Vention quality requirements
  • Develop and document Vention's reliability and quality practices and protocols
  • Execute reliability and validation tests as needed

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in electronics reliability
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Proven leadership skills
