As a Consultant within our Recovery & Restructuring division, you will play a pivotal role in assisting both lenders and debtors as they navigate complex financial landscapes. Your expertise will guide clients through periods of financial uncertainty, establishing you as a trusted advisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the provision of corporate insolvency services by identifying strategic, operational, and financial challenges, recommending immediate stabilization actions, and advising on performance improvements and debt restructuring needs.
  • Conduct data analysis, review financial records, and develop comprehensive financial models.
  • Engage in both formal and informal restructuring processes and manage formal insolvency appointments, including bankruptcies and proposals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with financial stakeholders, including special loan financiers and insolvency attorneys.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of statutory documentation in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Identify innovative strategies to enhance stakeholder value and ensure their needs are met.
  • Participate in business development efforts and contribute to the creation and presentation of competitive proposals.
  • Collaborate effectively with the engagement team to achieve project goals.
  • Contribute to the generation of new ideas and methodologies to enhance work processes.
  • Maintain a willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is advantageous.
  • Progressing towards, or a willingness to pursue, a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) designation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in insolvency; experience in other professional services may also be considered.
  • Familiarity with the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
