About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at JOYCE. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Household Tasks: Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other household tasks as needed.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for clients, including maintaining a clean and tidy living space.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate and Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
Work Environment

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often in clients' homes. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure.
