Nutrition and Logistics Coordinator

The Nutrition and Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role as a collaborative team member, executing a variety of responsibilities that encompass food and nutrition preparation, delivery, sanitation, and patient transport. This position also includes providing transportation services for outpatients and clients.
Essential Skills and Qualifications- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Grade 12 or equivalent
- Successful completion of the National Food Safety Training Certificate Program
- Preferred: Six months of experience in an institutional food services setting
- Preferred: Familiarity with HACCP guidelines
- Valid Ontario driver's license Class G with a clean driving record
- Class F license is an asset
- Experience with computerized systems is advantageous
- Delivering food and supplies to dining areas and inpatient units
- Setting up trays and serving therapeutic meals in approved portions
- Utilizing electronic devices to record patient menu preferences
- Executing ware washing tasks in both pot and dish areas
- Cleaning and sanitizing food service equipment and work surfaces
- Following Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) temperature procedures and maintaining documentation
- Completing daily cleaning tasks as assigned
- Transporting community clients to appointments as needed
- F licensed drivers will operate the accessible bus or passenger van for community clients
- Specialized sub-acute care in rehabilitation, mental health, complex medical management, and palliative care
