- Report Incidents: Report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents to the relevant authorities.
- Load and Unload Vehicles: Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Direct Passengers in Emergencies: Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures.
- Ensure Para-Transit Passengers Board Safely: Ensure para-transit passengers board vehicles safely.
- Deal with the Public: Deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Complete Logbooks and Reports: Complete logbooks and reports accurately and on time.
- Deal with Difficult Passengers: Deal with difficult passengers and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
- Communicate with Dispatchers and Other Drivers: Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers using two-way radio systems.
- Perform Vehicle Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Class 2/2F/C Licence: Hold a valid Class 2/2F/C Licence for buses with more than passengers.
- Valid Driver's Licence: Hold a valid driver's licence.
- Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Client Focus: Demonstrate a client-focused approach and excellent oral communication skills.
- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Possess efficient interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.
The successful candidate will be required to work a 40-hour week and will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and safety at all times.
