Job Overview

As a key member of the Qualico Canada team, the Manufacturing Labourer-Truss will perform a variety of tasks to support the production team in the manufacturing of trusses. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general labour tasks, including assembling trusses, cutting wood to specified dimensions, and inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Operate various equipment, including forklifts, to safely move goods and materials.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment, and report any mechanical issues to the Production Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet production deadlines and achieve quality standards.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and adhere to Qualico Canada's Safety Program and relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Completion of middle school education, with the ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • Minimum 3 months of experience in general labour, manufacturing, or construction-related fields, with training provided.
  • Satisfactory verification of a criminal record check.
  • Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and situational awareness of the physical work environment.
  • Ability to frequently kneel, crouch, and lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 40 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using various tools, such as nail guns, saws, and banding machines.
  • Previous forklift experience is an asset.
