The Park Security Officer role is essential for maintaining the safety and integrity of designated parks within a specific region.
General Responsibilities (but not limited to):
To assist in ensuring the designated area is secure, clean, and operational. To uphold the security of the designated area. To perform the duties of the Collector when required. (refer to Collector / Gatehouse job description)Specific Responsibilities (but not limited to):
To guarantee that the designated area of the park is upheld to a high standard of service with the necessary equipment to perform the job effectively. To possess knowledge of the park, its amenities, recreational options, and exhibit excellent public relations skills when assisting park visitors. To be well-versed in park regulations and communicate them to visitors courteously when necessary. To be knowledgeable about emergency protocols and respond effectively. To maintain a high standard of public safety by advising visitors who engage in unsafe behaviors to cease those activities and addressing situations proactively to prevent negative outcomes. To manage public control and noise levels, ensuring that any incidents occurring in the designated area are properly documented. To ensure that access for emergency vehicles to the designated area is maintained at all times. To monitor site capacity and ensure that all vehicles and camping equipment remain within campsite boundaries. To confirm that only registered campers are present in the designated area after hours and that all day-use access points are secured at the scheduled times. To handle enforcement situations in a mature and responsible manner.
