About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Practice Leader, Mental Health Social Work to join our team at the Lansdowne Centre in Kamloops, B.C.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, supervise, plan, and budget for the department, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, workload, quality, labour relations, and human resource issues, reporting to the Allied Health Director.
  • Interpret and implement organizational regulations, policies, and procedures related to Allied Health services.
  • Provide leadership and representation for the assigned Allied Health profession, ensuring standards are consistent with regulatory and accrediting body standards.
  • Contribute to the development of the profession through the practice council and advise the Allied Health Director on professional practice issues.

The Lansdowne Centre is one of Interior Health's Mental Health Centres, providing various services, including adult community support, short-term assessment and treatment, and crisis intervention.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a recognized degree from an accredited program in the assigned Allied Health profession.
  • Recent five years' clinical practice, including a minimum of two years' supervisory or management experience in the assigned Allied Health field.
  • Current registration with the College or current certification with the appropriate Association/Body for the assigned Allied Health profession/discipline.
  • Valid Driver's license.
