About the Role

McKesson is a leading healthcare company that delivers innovative solutions to improve patient care and outcomes. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all contracts in our contract management system, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Support the business in drafting and negotiating contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, master service agreements, and statements of work.
  • Prepare and process requests for information, requests for quotes, and requests for proposals in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate all contract/document management and administrative activities associated with existing programs, including tracking contractual deliverables and coordinating with internal departments.
  • Review draft scope of work/specifications, advising requestors on improvements before submission to legal.
  • Manage and review contractual requests submitted through our central intake process.
  • Process and monitor the completion of documents in electronic signature platforms.
  • Manage software access and work with developers on system improvements required by the department and business units.
  • Process contracts through our contract management system from draft submission to full execution, including review and comments of contracts submitted by requestors, submission and review of contracts submitted to legal, finalization and storage of fully executed contracts in the system.
  • Design, implement, and monitor a contract tracking system, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and version control.
  • Manage the life-cycle of contracts and advise stakeholders on contract milestones, such as renewal deadlines.
  • Train users on the access and use of our contract management software and other business applications.
  • Assess and manage contractual risks, working closely with legal and other relevant departments to identify potential risks in contracts, propose risk mitigation strategies, and develop and maintain a risk assessment framework for contracts, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in program management and contract management, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Undergraduate degree or paralegal professional/law clerk experience preferred.
Competencies
  • Knowledgeable about the components of master service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and statements of work.
  • Superior business application skills, including Microsoft Excel and other software applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain good relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization and promote harmony amongst team members, other McKesson employees/divisions, and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic perspective with an ability to effectively manage details and make decisions based on sound knowledge and good judgment.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced work environment with fluctuating demand for services is essential.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interface with program/project stakeholders as well as internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in French (bilingualism) is considered an asset.
