About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Talend Developer to join our team at Axelon Services Corporation. As a key member of our Information Controls Technology (ICT) Department, you will play a critical role in modernizing our technology solutions and aligning with our firm's strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement data integration workflows using Talend Studio to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into databases, warehouses, or data lakes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with data management teams and data providers to communicate and define data and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for applications to ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Support and respond to user queries or issues, determining the root cause and best resolution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on application development experience using ETL tools like Talend.
  • Strong understanding of DB concepts and working with relational databases (DB2, Sybase, or other).
  • Experience in the development of service-oriented architecture applications, good understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns.
  • Strong analytical and design skills, including the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and effective technical designs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and document the root cause of issues.
Desired Skills
  • Knowledge of Financial services.
  • Experience with Angular and/or other modern frameworks.
  • Knowledge on Informatica.
  • Experience with Data visualization tools and reporting tools.
  • Experience with Cloud-based tools and technologies.
  • UI Design experience, specifically for web applications.
  • Unix OS, Scripting, Python, or Perl.
  • Proficient in DevOps tooling and practices.
