ETL / Talend Developer

This is a permanent, full-time role with a large IT services firm for a major US-based bank. The ideal candidate must have legal work status for Canada and be willing to work in a hybrid environment, with three days of in-office work per week. The salary and benefits will be at market rate.

Job Overview:
A Talend Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing data integration solutions in Talend Studio based on business requirements and technical specifications. The successful candidate will have experience with ETL tools like Talend and be able to perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement data integration workflows for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into databases, warehouses, or data lakes.
  2. Optimize Talend job performance and scalability, considering large volumes of data.
  3. Develop and maintain data integration solutions using Talend Studio.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integration solutions meet business requirements.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data integration and ETL.
Requirements:
  1. At least 5+ years of experience with ETL tools like Talend.
  2. Strong understanding of data integration concepts and principles.
  3. Experience with data profiling, cleansing, and validation.
  4. Knowledge of data visualization tools and reporting tools.
  5. Experience with cloud-based tools and technologies.
  6. Proficient in DevOps tooling and practices.
