About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automobile Garage Manager to join our team at PAE TRUCKS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our garage, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our business runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management
    • Direct and control daily garage operations to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
    • Plan and organize daily activities to meet customer demands and business objectives.
  • Staff Management
    • Manage a team of 5-10 staff members, including supervising and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties.
    • Recruit, hire, and train new staff members as needed.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
  • Marketing and Sales
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and increase sales.
  • Financial Management
    • Plan and manage budgets to ensure that the garage operates within financial constraints.
    • Monitor revenues and expenses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Environmental Sustainability
    • Implement environmentally friendly practices and policies to reduce the garage's carbon footprint.
  • Accessibility and Inclusion
    • Ensure that the garage is accessible and inclusive for all customers, including those with disabilities.
  • Cultural Competency
    • Provide cultural competency training to all staff members to ensure that they are aware of and sensitive to the needs of diverse customers.
  • Work Environment
    • Ensure that the work environment is safe, healthy, and respectful for all staff members.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or automotive repair.
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance practices.
    • Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies.
    • Financial management skills.
    • Environmental sustainability knowledge.
