Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide wound and ostomy consultation for patients in the clinic and community
  • Assess and manage wounds and ostomies using evidence-based practice
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote optimal patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-centered care
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in wound and ostomy care

Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) diploma
  • Current College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) registration in good standing
  • Graduate of Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC, formerly CAET), CNA exam may be pending
  • Several years of escalating experience managing wounds and ostomies
  • A strong desire and commitment to making a difference in the lives of our patients
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle as regular travel is required
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • CPR Certification
  • Current immunization record including 2 step TB test
  • To protect our patients, we require a current vulnerable sector check and a clear background check
