Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team at RhynoCare in the Waterloo area.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and be able to provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Ensure timely and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other pertinent Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statutes.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Clear Criminal Record check.
All staff are required to provide proof of vaccination, adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times.
