We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team at Sharp Bus Lines Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our service shop, ensuring that our vehicles are maintained to the highest standard of safety and performance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of our shop staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee and ensure that all safety rules and regulations are being followed at all times.
  • Develop and implement work schedules that meet the needs of our employees and the demands of our business.
  • Coordinate daily tasks and prioritize projects to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Delegate responsibilities and individual projects to our mechanics, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and manage new employees, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring that we are operating within our means.
  • Project manage, including scheduling, coordinating, and supervising of projects.
  • Report to our Regional Manager, providing regular updates on shop operations and performance.

Qualified Applicants Must Have:

  • 310T and 310S certifications.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Lead Hand or Foreman position.
  • Experience with computerized work orders.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Valid G-Class Ontario Driver's Licence.
  • School bus experience would be considered an asset.

This is a Monday-Friday day shift position. We offer a great opportunity for a Lead Hand looking to take the next step in their career.
