Position Overview:
The Lead Business Intelligence Analyst will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and upkeep of strategic, high-level executive dashboards and reports. This position is crucial for creating database objects, metrics, and visualizations utilizing Microsoft BI technologies such as SQL Server 2016 Enterprise, Power BI, SSIS, and Excel. The analyst will also support the business in crafting business cases and conducting forecasting/planning by leveraging data from data warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain data warehouses to consolidate data from various sources, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

• Create and manage Power BI dashboards and reports.

• Develop data models and schemas to accurately reflect both structured and unstructured raw data within databases.

• Transform raw data into processed formats suitable for generating actionable insights.

• Actively engage with end-users to understand their requirements and implement effective data visualizations in dashboards and reports.

• Identify opportunities to automate time-consuming processes related to data collection, validation, and transformation to enhance the efficiency of dashboard/report production and delivery.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of standardized branding for all dashboards and reports.

• Assist in formulating a future state BI architecture and roadmap.

• Investigate and resolve issues promptly to ensure data integrity and functionality.

• Analyze data trends and build analytical models to identify revenue opportunities, mitigate risks, and support financial modeling for business cases and sales targets.

• Oversee the planning and forecasting processes.

• Lead the analytics requirements for the business.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence with advanced proficiency in Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server, Power BI, Power Pivot, Visual Basic).

• Strong command of Excel and reporting tools, as well as relational database tools like Access.

• Experience in designing ETL processes and developing relational data models.

• Proficient in SQL, including common table expressions, window functions, joins, complex data types, stored procedures, and update scripts.

• Familiarity with building and updating SSIS ETL workflows.

• Ability to analyze large datasets effectively.

• Experience in developing financial models and analyses related to planning and forecasting, as well as business cases.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a project team.

• Ability to manage ambiguous tasks and adapt to changing priorities in response to unforeseen events.

• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or MicroStrategy is advantageous.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) is a plus.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement, allowing for a hybrid work model.
