About the Role

The Client Relationship Manager plays a key role in the success of Scotiabank's Commercial Banking team in Canada. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective management of client relationships and the execution of sales plans to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote the growth of the commercial banking portfolio in assigned market areas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external contacts to identify business development opportunities.
  • Manage a portfolio of credit authorizations up to $5MM, ensuring an acceptable level of risk.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to maximize business development opportunities for sustainable growth.
  • Develop sales plans for prospects and existing customers, analyzing market data and customer analytics to prioritize business development opportunities.
  • Partner with internal resources to provide non-credit related products and services to clients.
  • Referring customers and prospects to the appropriate Commercial Banking segment and partners as appropriate.
  • Plan and complete relationship activities that generate sales opportunities and/or provide value to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date on local market and general economic conditions to inform business decisions.
