Position Overview

Beverly Creek Inc. is seeking a dedicated Livestock Labourer to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the health and productivity of our cattle and ensuring efficient farm operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care: Monitor and manage the health of livestock, including diagnosing health issues and treating as necessary.
  • Feeding and Grooming: Perform daily feeding routines and grooming activities to ensure the well-being of the animals.
  • Calving Support: Prepare and maintain a clean environment for calving, and monitor the calving process closely.
  • Farm Maintenance: Operate and maintain farm machinery, and clear debris from work areas to promote a safe working environment.
  • Inventory Management: Track feed inventory and report on supplies to ensure adequate resources are available.
  • Breeding Oversight: Supervise breeding programs and select livestock for sale based on quality assessments.
  • General Farm Duties: Carry out various tasks to support farm operations, including cleaning barns and stables.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role is preferred.
Work Environment

This position involves working in a beef cattle ranching and farming environment, with staff accommodation provided. The role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week.
