POSITION SUMMARY

Flexstaf IT is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior HCM & Payroll Systems Analyst to enhance our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with business process leaders and end users to gather project and enhancement requirements.
  • Engage with other functional team members and the development team to design, build, and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Partner with the Solution Architect to ensure that specific functionalities align with the overall technical vision.
  • Oversee application design in accordance with business processes and requirements.
  • Develop functional specifications and assist in creating technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with the Technical/Development team to implement functional system enhancements.
  • Work with the internal application security team to establish and maintain appropriate application access roles and permissions.
  • Contribute to the creation of necessary training materials.
  • Act as a liaison for internal clients to troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to production incidents.
  • Configure application functionalities for various requirements and enhancements.
  • Document and execute Unit Testing and System Integration Testing.
  • Coordinate with the QA Lead and QA Team to ensure thorough QA testing.
  • Collaborate with other internal IT departments to optimize work processes.
  • Provide ongoing support and expertise following the initial rollout of projects.
  • Ensure adherence to current best practices for applications and underlying infrastructure (servers, databases, security, etc.).
  • Comply with Application and IS change management processes, expediting changes for high-priority issues as necessary.
  • Work effectively with application support/implementation vendors for daily operations and additional tasks.
  • Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits as required.
  • Prepare documentation and training materials as needed.
  • Exhibit strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple deliverables and projects simultaneously.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in HCM & Payroll functional configuration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high-demand environment, managing multiple priorities, resolving issues promptly, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to address urgent payroll-related issues efficiently.
  • Excellent decision-making, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the construction industry is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct business impact assessments and troubleshoot complex integration challenges.
  • Proven track record of delivering timely services to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Experience in gathering business requirements effectively.
  • Ability to educate end users on system configuration and design alternatives.
  • Support clients in decision-making and process design.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed within established deadlines.
  • Maintain the quality of deliverables to meet expectations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert throughout projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

SAP HCM (Human Capital Management)

  • Expertise in SAP Payroll, Time Management, Benefits, and interface development. Hands-on experience in these areas, ideally with at least two end-to-end implementation and support projects.
  • In-depth understanding of Canadian payroll tax regulations to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Ability to configure and customize PCRs within the SAP system to address specific Canadian payroll requirements, including deductions, taxes, and benefits calculations.
