Parts Consultant

The role of the Parts Consultant is to actively engage, comply, and collaborate in team initiatives. By contributing effectively, they enhance the overall performance of the team while ensuring adherence to the policies, procedures, and protocols of their department.

Reporting directly to the Parts Manager, the primary duty of the Parts Consultant is to provide guidance to customers regarding the sale of parts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver courteous customer service and assist clients in making informed decisions to fulfill their requirements.
  • Handle incoming inquiries via phone and email, supplying the necessary information.
  • Promote parts that are currently on sale.
  • Process orders for parts based on available inventory.
  • Verify that received parts match the orders placed.
  • Maintain precise records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
  • Collaborate closely with the service department.
  • Stay updated on all new and revised products.
  • Assist with merchandise reception as required.
  • Organize orders for daily shipping, delivery, or collection.
  • Manage returns to suppliers or storage of items that are no longer in demand.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Fluency in French, both oral and written, with functional English skills.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in parts management.
  • High school diploma required.
  • CPA Card (Automotive Parity Card) is necessary.
  • Experience in the truck industry is considered an asset.
