We are seeking a Trade Compliance Manager - Hybrid or Remote in Canada

The Trade Compliance Manager will oversee and implement the Global Trade Compliance program in Canada, ensuring that all export activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure, possessing a deep understanding of complex products and services while fostering strong cross-functional relationships in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

The following are the primary responsibilities associated with this role, which may evolve over time:

  • Act as Entrust's representative with CBSA and GAC as necessary.
  • Manage program controls related to the export of software from Canada, including licensing, sanctions compliance, and KYC checks.
  • Understand export and licensing requirements, including knowledge of encryption controls and relevant exemptions.
  • Complete necessary export filings and audit third-party submissions made on Entrust's behalf.
  • Develop and conduct cross-functional training on trade compliance topics.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with exports from Canada.
  • Stay informed on global trade compliance news and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Assist in the review, validation, and documentation of export classification codes utilized by Entrust.
  • Support the creation of policies, standards, and job aids related to the Trade Compliance program.
  • Help develop and measure performance metrics for Trade Compliance.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure compliance with trade controls for new or significantly modified products.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Over 8 years of experience in trade compliance
  • Ability to work lawfully within the jurisdiction of residence
  • Willingness to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word)
  • Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and computer skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
