About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Media Buyer Specialist to join our team at Spark Foundry. As a key member of our media buying team, you will be responsible for negotiating and executing approved media tactics, working with media partners to optimize placements, and collaborating with specialist teams to identify effective business practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the negotiation and execution of approved media tactics, including digital video, connected TV, YouTube, and direct digital display (non-programmatic)
  • Work with media partners to buy and optimize placements to achieve campaign goals and/or meet client demand
  • Collaborate with specialist teams to identify and implement effective business practices
  • Manage contracts/insertion orders and all resulting revisions with media partners
  • Participate in and oversee all media buys for direct digital display and digital video, from briefing to post-campaign report
  • Assist in financial management, budget tracking, and invoice reconciliation
  • Prepare/develop performance reports in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Manage purchases on buying platforms and agency systems

Requirements

  • Degree in communications, marketing, or advertising
  • 1+ year experience in media buying
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Technical skills, especially with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of MediaOcean (Prisma) is a plus
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and a creative approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to successfully work in a team, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce meticulous work
