Our Infrastructure Division specializes in planning, design, and construction administration services for municipal infrastructure projects (watermains, storm drainage, sanitary systems), roadways, road rehabilitation, transit/rail, bridges, and related endeavors. We are currently seeking a Municipal Contract Administrator to join our Field Services team, contributing to projects in the greater Toronto area from our Markham office.

As a Municipal Contract Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering inspection services to our municipal clients. Due to expanding business opportunities within the local Toronto region and beyond, this position offers potential for growth in technical/professional development and project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site meetings and prepare concise meeting minutes.
  • Organize and manage the administration of medium to large contracts, ensuring projects progress smoothly.
  • Oversee contract execution, verifying adherence to plans, procedures, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Review contract documents and designs for potential errors or inconsistencies.
  • Approve work progress and payments in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Carry out inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety regulations.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders regarding project updates and concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Municipal Contract Administrator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant construction software.
  • A valid Ontario 'G' Driver's License and access to a vehicle for site visits.
