About the Role
Pomeroy Lodging LP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at the Kananaskis Nordic Spa in Alberta, Canada.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the spa facilities, including MEP systems, groundskeeping, repairs, and preventative maintenance. This is a key role that requires a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the spa facilities are well-maintained and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Oversee the maintenance of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Manage and maintain the cleanliness and function of the pool, including water chemistry and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Develop and implement schedules to meet peak demand periods while controlling labor costs.
- Support recruitment and retention efforts by maintaining a positive work environment and processes.
Requirements
- Post-secondary certifications or degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years of facilities leadership experience, preferably in a spa or hospitality environment.
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Comfortable with technology and open to new learning.
- Safety certifications an asset.
- Experience with commercial pool operation preferred.
Working Conditions
This is a fast-paced environment with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including late hours, weekends, and holidays.
