About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Barrie Special Care Home Ltd. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records.
  • Household Management: Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Companionship: Engage residents in activities, provide emotional support, and promote social interaction.
  • Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring their needs are met.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, physical stamina to perform tasks.
