Indigenous Recruitment Advisor

Position Overview
As a vital member of the Human Resources team, the Indigenous HR Specialist will report directly to the Manager of Diversity and Inclusion. This role is focused on collaborating with management and various stakeholders to design, implement, and oversee programs that enhance the recruitment and retention of Indigenous Aboriginal individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and recommend strategies to address challenges and emerging issues in the recruitment of Indigenous Aboriginal candidates across all levels of the public service.
- Provide expert advice on Indigenous Aboriginal recruitment and retention, ensuring alignment with corporate initiatives and plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments to inform the development of effective recruitment strategies that support Indigenous Aboriginal individuals in their public service careers.
- Identify and analyze the available Indigenous Aboriginal labor pools to assist in creating both territorial and national recruitment strategies.
Qualifications
This position typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Aboriginal Studies, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of four years of experience in program delivery.
In this role, the incumbent will play a crucial part in fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce, ensuring that Indigenous Aboriginal people are represented and supported within the public service.
