Job Overview

The Water Management Advisor will work closely with our Environment and Permitting team to develop and implement water management plans for our Ekati Diamond Mine. This is a key role in ensuring the sustainability of our operations and minimizing our environmental impact.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in water management and planning, with experience in mine water management and modeling. They will be responsible for leading water balance and quality model development, managing water management consultants, and providing training and guidance to other staff.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Life-of-Mine and mid-range water management planning
  • Develop and maintain water balance and quality models
  • Manage water management consultants and reports
  • Provide training and guidance to other staff
  • Participate in water management related permitting proceedings and stakeholder engagement events
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in geoscience or engineering with a focus on water management
  • 10+ years of progressive technical experience in mine water management and planning
  • Working knowledge of water management and modeling software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
