The Opportunity: Lead Business Growth and Client Success

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will lead and achieve strategic business development objectives. You'll build and maintain a high-value portfolio of large, diversified commercial clients with average loan and deposit values exceeding $2 million. You'll manage a portfolio exceeding $10 million and collaborate closely with product partners to develop innovative solutions that capitalize on market opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Experience Champion: Deliver exceptional client experiences at every interaction, aligning with CWB's brand promise. Provide comprehensive financial solutions to clients, aiming to be their primary financial partner.
  • Sales Activation and Business Growth: Develop, implement, and execute an independent marketing plan to achieve all sales and growth targets. Drive annual loan, deposit, and cash management sales, revenue, volume, and new customer objectives. Negotiate effectively to optimize the profitability of relationships with both new and existing clients. Actively generate leads and referrals for business partners across CWB.
  • Credit Risk Management: In collaboration with the commercial credit team, you will apply your risk assessment skills to ensure appropriate measures are in place. Implement risk assessment protocols and structures while balancing risk and reward within CWB's risk appetite.

Your Expertise:

We seek a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor's Degree in commerce, finance, or accounting, coupled with proven experience in business development. You possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the financial landscape.
