Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at ALMAC MOTOR HOTEL. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel, motel, and resort.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors and stairs.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure the hotel's grounds are kept clean and tidy.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Supervise other workers and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Dependability, initiative, judgement, and reliability.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a physically demanding environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
Personal Suitability
  • Work Term: Permanent.

  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
