Position Overview

MMC is in search of a Senior Mortgage Underwriter with at least 5 years of underwriting expertise. This position entails making informed credit decisions on mortgage applications, ensuring adherence to company protocols, and providing exceptional service to all stakeholders involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding service to brokers, clients, and stakeholders
  • Comply with credit quality standards and underwriting protocols
  • Evaluate and authorize mortgage applications
  • Analyze real estate risks and market dynamics
  • Ensure adherence to AML/Compliance regulations
  • Remain informed on industry policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with teams and support special initiatives

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage underwriting
  • Comprehensive understanding of credit analysis and risk management
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Capacity to adapt to fluctuating workloads and turnaround times
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in French is considered an asset
