Position Overview:
The Project Scheduler plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining project timelines. This position involves tracking contracts and scope modifications, as well as supporting the Project Team with various project-related tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project management, planners, and estimators to create project plans encompassing cost, schedule, risk, scope, and change management.
- Assist in establishing internal control processes and procedures for projects.
- Monitor and assess cost and schedule trends, making necessary adjustments to forecasts.
- Conduct analyses and prepare progress reports regarding costs, schedules, and risks.
- Support project close-out reporting and documentation as needed.
- Utilize critical path methodology to ensure timely delivery of milestone tasks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with databases and generate reports.
- Understanding of project management, engineering, and construction processes is preferred.
- Experience in cost and schedule development and monitoring practices is advantageous.
- Nuclear experience and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are considered assets.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Primavera P6, Excel, and MS Project.
- Security clearance with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is a plus.
