Are you a skilled mechanic looking for a challenging role with a leading equipment rental provider? We have an exciting opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV) to join our team at United Rentals.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced diesel mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment with limited or no supervision. As a Service Tech IV, you will use your expertise to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment
  • Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed
  • Assist with equipment pick-up and delivery

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
