Job Title: Asset Integrity Specialist - Electrical

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Integrity Specialist - Electrical to join our Baggage Operations Department at Vancouver Airport Authority.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, implementing, and managing asset management plans for a wide range of asset classes. This includes coordinating work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver and maintain assets, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, and coordinating changes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute asset management strategy, including coordinating work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver and maintain assets.
  • Provide engineering and technical support by conducting risk assessments, compliance audits, and technical reviews of processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead safety and quality initiatives by providing support with technical and operational reviews, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Identify and recommend solutions based on the results of investigations, root cause analysis, and specialized studies.
  • Manage continuous improvement programs, tracking system performances against agreed key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing trends, and planning for various stages of each asset lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in Applied Science, Science, Engineering, or RSE Electrician with a preference for a background study in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) applicable to mechanical, electrical, and/or computer science disciplines.
  • Proven experience working in airport-related facilities and/or industrial plant environments, including asset lifecycle development and management, developing and reviewing engineering specifications and standards, conducting and facilitating field reviews and inspections.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage a diverse set of data and information in various media formats.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision or direction.
