Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Water Damage Restoration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our restoration team, you will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, assessing damage, and implementing effective restoration solutions to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective communication to our production manager regarding the status of work
  • Determine the category of water loss and develop a restoration plan
  • Extract water using truck-mounted and portable pumps
  • Assist in determining non-restorable building components and assist with demolition
  • Set up drying equipment according to established procedures and monitor the drying process
  • Work within an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
Requirements
  • Water Restoration Technician Certification (considered an asset)
  • Clean Criminal Record Check
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract
  • Experience driving and parking a panel van and cube truck
  • Ability to lift industrial fans (30-40 lbs) and load/unload wheeled industrial dehumidifiers
  • Knowledge of construction and basic building materials
  • Safely use power tools and hand tools
  • Experience in custodial work, pressure washing, and carpet cleaning (considered an asset)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision
  • Ability to empathize with clients/customers who have experienced loss of personal property
