Position Overview: Financial Planning Manager

The Financial Planning Manager plays a crucial role within the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, tasked with providing valuable financial insights and analyses to support executive decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Financial Planning Manager, you will assist in leading the creation and upkeep of all financial forecasts, both short-term and long-term.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating, maintaining, and consolidating financial forecasts for various business lines to support annual budgeting and long-term strategic planning
  • Developing business cases to assess the financial implications of new initiatives and organizational decisions
  • Preparing communication and presentation materials for senior leadership
  • Collaborating with cross-departmental teams and stakeholders to gather essential inputs and conduct research for financial modeling
  • Performing industry and competitive analysis to formulate sound assumptions that inform financial models
  • Conducting ad-hoc analyses as required, including scenario and sensitivity analyses, make-or-buy evaluations, breakeven assessments, and market sizing

Candidate Profile

You are an ideal candidate if you possess:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field
  • A CPA and/or CFA designation
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in FP&A or forecasting, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
  • Exceptional Excel skills with experience in building and maintaining complex financial models
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint or Google Slides
  • Strong communication abilities, with experience engaging with all levels of leadership
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A proven ability to translate complex business scenarios into quantitative models
  • A self-driven and ambitious nature with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • The ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
  • A collaborative spirit with a talent for building relationships and achieving consensus
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion or EPBCS
  • Background in the financial or investment industry
