Job Title: Director, Configuration Management

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly experienced Director, Configuration Management to lead our engineering change control program. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for managing the project engineering change control program, including oversight of safety-related and non-safety-related design changes and production of related project and internal documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the project engineering change control program, including oversight of safety-related and non-safety-related design changes and production of related project and internal documentation.
  • Procure and deliver engineering tools for use within the Candu Energy in the execution of our engineering scopes of work.
  • Manage the production of the 3D model of the contracted Cernavoda 3/4 buildings and the integration with the 3D model work produced by the JV members.
  • Implement and oversee the production of the integrated dataset, including production and management of any required procedures, for the overall project requirements tracking database.
  • Develop and implement Engineering Plans for the project, or phase of the project, for all pertinent scopes of work.
  • Ensure qualified and appropriate staff are working on the project and are assigned work within their experience and skills.
  • Provide guidance, technical insight, supervision, and feedback to the Technical Managers/Technical Leads that are part of his/her team.
  • Oversight of technical deliverables budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Ensure that the final deliverables meet customer requirements specified in the contract and overall alignment with nuclear code and standards.
  • Review and approve key technical documentation for the project, or phase of the project.
  • Monitor the technical quality of engineering deliverables for the project, or phase of the project.
  • Identify and propose improvements in the areas of the project – both proactively and in response to customer requirements.
  • Liaise with external client engineering organization at the behest of the Project Engineering Director regarding the configuration management matters.
  • Liaise with Joint Venture partner engineering organizations at the behest of the Project Engineering Director regarding all configuration management matters.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Instrumentation and Control, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in nuclear engineering, with a focus on design and project management.
  • P.Eng registration with PEO or equivalent required.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented self-starter with strong engineering and people management skills and experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams and large-scale projects.
  • Experience with supervision, oversight, and plant site maintenance resulting in increased efficiencies and the customization of specialized teams to enhance overall performance.
  • Knowledge of the nuclear industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
