Position Overview

The Culinary Operations Supervisor at Elyon African Kitchen plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our kitchen. This position requires a blend of leadership, culinary expertise, and operational management.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role or equivalent experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff responsible for food preparation and portioning.
  • Assess and estimate the ingredients and supplies necessary for meal preparation.
  • Develop budget plans and cost estimates for kitchen operations.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of stock levels, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on kitchen operations.
  • Compile food order summaries for the head chef.
  • Supervise the assembly of food trays and ensure proper delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for kitchen staff.
