We are seeking a dedicated Regulatory Compliance Coordinator to join our team, contributing to a significant Light-Rail Transit (LRT) initiative. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth issuance and management of Energy Isolation and Track Allocation permits throughout the project's lifecycle. Reporting to the Temporary Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and validating Permit Applications, ensuring all required documentation is accurately submitted from various technical perspectives including mechanical, electrical, and health & safety.

About the Company: Kiewit operates within the Eastern Canada District, engaging in diverse projects such as highways, bridges, mass transit systems, and hydroelectric facilities. Our commitment to the construction and mining sectors drives our operations across Eastern Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Manager in daily operations
  • Serve as the LOTO manager designee when required
  • Coordinate Track Allocation processes
  • Review and authorize permit requests
  • Ensure thoroughness and precision of Permit Applications
  • Verify the inclusion of all necessary supporting documents
  • Provide evaluations of approved permits
  • Engage with operations and management as necessary
  • Conduct data entry tasks
  • Facilitate effective communication between office and field teams
  • Lead Permit Meetings and participate in coordination discussions

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant Permit-to-Work role
  • Experience with energized systems and LOTO protocols
  • Familiarity with Permit-to-Work frameworks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Safety-focused, collaborative, and organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management
  • Willingness to work on a rotational schedule if not local
  • Understanding of safety regulations and best practices
