Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Technician II - AV to oversee significant commercial audio-visual installation projects. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience with various AV systems, including but not limited to Crestron, BiAmp, Cisco, and Extron.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide, support, and mentor fellow team members.
  • Install and maintain cabling infrastructure and audio/visual devices, which encompasses pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, reporting, and labeling according to specifications and drawings.
  • Set up audio/visual equipment, including audio and video conferencing systems, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, control systems, and all presentation technologies.
  • Engage with clients and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are addressed with professionalism.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and incident reporting procedures.
  • Complete comprehensive and precise documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on detail.
  • Ability to adapt to various work environments, from construction sites to fully finished corporate offices.
  • 3-5 years of experience in AV system installation is preferred; however, experience in electrical, mechanical, or construction fields will also be considered.
  • Comfortable working at elevated heights.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications in Crestron, Polycom, CTS, Extron, and BiAmp are advantageous.
  • Post-secondary education in electronics, electrical, telecommunications, or a related field is a plus.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
