Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Technician II - Structured Cabling to join our team in support of several major projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and servicing cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual and CCTV.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual and CCTV, including pre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing and reporting per specifications and drawings.
  • Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms.
  • Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally.
  • Adhere to Paladin's Quality and Safety programs.
  • Complete detailed and accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, test results.
  • Consistently provide high levels of customer service.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience pulling, terminating, and testing cat5/6 cables.
  • Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Ability to lift upwards of 50 pounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
