About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Pizza Pizza. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and take steps to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and provide guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties effectively.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, and take steps to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Operational Management: Manage kitchen operations, ensuring that they are running smoothly and efficiently.
Support for Diversity and Inclusion
  • Accessibility Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Youth Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Veteran Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Indigenous Support: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Visible Minority Support: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
