Physiotherapist - Outpatient Rehabilitation Specialist

The Physiotherapist plays a vital role in our outpatient physiotherapy team, working in a tertiary care setting to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. This role requires a holistic approach, developing treatment programs based on post-surgical protocols, using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical, and hydrotherapy techniques to assist patients in regaining and/or maintaining optimal function.
The Physiotherapist will work collaboratively with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participate in the evaluation of team effectiveness, and solve problems and share responsibilities. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university, membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists, and annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification. Previous experience in an outpatient setting and orthopedics, long-term pain, and/or working with individuals with long-term health conditions is considered an asset.
The successful candidate will have effective teaching and patient education skills, demonstrated accountability, and a strong client focus with the ability to build solid client/practitioner relationships. They will also have demonstrated collaboration and teamwork skills, a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, and leadership abilities.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $33.97 - $42.89. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
