Astellas Pharma Canada (APCA) is currently in search of a Business Partner.

Position Overview:

As a Digital Business Partner, you will play a vital role in advancing our digital initiatives within our agile organization. Our agile operating model comprises two key components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. Digital Execution focuses on aligning various missions with business objectives and facilitating broader collaboration. Conversely, Digital Capability emphasizes the growth and development of individuals within specific areas of expertise. This dual structure allows us to efficiently scale agile practices while maintaining a focus on both product development and individual skill enhancement.

In the role of Digital Business Partner within an Agile Framework, you will serve as a strategic liaison between digital technology teams and business units, including legal and communication. This position is essential for leveraging digital technologies to foster business innovation, enhance customer experiences, and secure a competitive edge. Operating within an Agile framework, the Digital Business Partner ensures that digital initiatives are closely aligned with business objectives and executed effectively through agile methodologies.

You will be at the forefront of implementing innovative solutions and will have the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technologies in your field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with business leaders to comprehend their strategic goals and identify how digital technologies can support or enhance these objectives. Ensure that digital initiatives are seamlessly aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Agile Advocacy: Encourage the adoption and implementation of Agile methodologies across both IT and business units. Facilitate Agile practices to ensure that digital projects are delivered with flexibility, speed, and a customer-centric approach.
  • Digital Innovation: Act as a champion for digital innovation throughout the organization. Identify and assess new digital technologies, trends, and practices that could benefit the business. Advocate for innovative solutions that address the evolving needs of customers and the market.
  • Initiative Facilitation: Oversee digital initiatives from conception to execution, ensuring they are carried out within an Agile framework. Collaborate with Agile teams to prioritize backlogs, plan sprints, and deliver functional increments that provide value.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and digital/IT teams. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure that digital projects meet business requirements and expectations.
  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts related to digital transformation initiatives. Educate and prepare business units for changes in processes, tools, and culture associated with digital projects.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital initiatives to assess their impact on business outcomes. Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Risk Management: Identify and evaluate risks associated with digital projects. Collaborate with Agile teams to develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure successful project delivery.
