Key Responsibilities:

Client Collaboration:
  1. Engage with clients to comprehend their asset management requirements and existing processes.

  3. Act as the main liaison for clients during the implementation of SAM functionalities.
SAM Framework Development:
  1. Evaluate the current ServiceNow setup and data structures of the client.
  2. Design and execute the SAM framework tailored to client specifications and ServiceNow best practices.
  3. Align existing data and workflows with leading SAM practices to ensure thorough and precise asset management.
  4. Customize the ServiceNow platform to enhance SAM capabilities, including modifications to existing solutions.
Process Enhancement:
  1. Identify areas for improvement in service management processes through SAM adoption.
  2. Advise on SAM best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  3. Create and document procedures for maintaining SAM functionalities within the ServiceNow platform.
Training and Support:
  1. Develop educational materials and conduct training sessions for client personnel.
  2. Lead knowledge transfer initiatives to empower the client's team in managing the SAM solution.
  3. Offer ongoing assistance and mentorship to client staff as required.
Project Oversight:
  1. Collaborate with project managers to outline project plans, timelines, and deliverables for SAM implementations.
  2. Monitor progress against project milestones and provide updates to stakeholders.
  3. Identify and address risks and challenges associated with SAM implementations.
Architectural Review:
  1. Conduct a thorough analysis of the current ServiceNow architecture concerning SAM.
  2. Assist in designing a future state functional model for SAM that aligns with best practices.
  3. Document technical debt and formulate strategies for its resolution.
  4. Help create a roadmap for transitioning from the current state to the desired future state regarding SAM.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  2. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Software Asset Management, with a proven track record in managing software assets throughout their lifecycle.
  3. ServiceNow Proficiency: Extensive experience with the ServiceNow SAM module and a strong understanding of ITSM, ITAM, and CMDB modules.
  4. SAM Best Practices: In-depth knowledge of industry standards for software asset management.
  5. Process Optimization: Demonstrated ability to enhance SAM processes for improved efficiency and compliance.
  6. Client Engagement: Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  7. Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing asset data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  8. Project Management: Experience in leading projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with goals.
  9. ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL and other IT service management frameworks.
  10. Data Management: Experience in data modeling and ensuring data integrity within ServiceNow's SAM module.
  11. Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – SAM preferred; ITIL Foundation Certification is a plus.
