Position Overview: The role of Assistant Project Leader is essential in supporting project management activities within Rodan Energy Solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with supervisors and senior personnel to facilitate and manage specific phases of project execution, adhering to established project governance protocols.
- Aid in the application of sanctioned project management methodologies for phase-gating, integration, scope, scheduling, budgeting, change management, communication, reporting, and risk assessment.
- Assist in overseeing the engineering, procurement, and construction processes for designated projects, ensuring that all objectives are met within the parameters of safety, quality, budget, and timeline.
- Support the preparation of business case submissions for project approval and funding release, ensuring comprehensive information is available for planning considerations.
- Maintain effective communication with field construction teams and operations regarding design, scheduling, and costing issues, providing regular updates to management on project status.
- Address and help resolve project-related challenges to ensure deliverables are met as planned, managing any necessary changes to scope, schedule, and budget in accordance with established procedures.
- Foster communication with both internal and external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and agencies, coordinating meetings and discussions to align project objectives.
- Conduct site visits and assessments as required, gaining insights into manufacturing processes and techniques to inform project applications.
- Stay informed about advancements in project management, engineering, and construction, sharing knowledge with team members to enhance project execution.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project objectives.
Qualifications:
- A solid understanding of physics, engineering principles, mathematics, and chemistry related to industrial and power generation systems.
- Familiarity with economic and business principles for project cost estimation and forecasting.
- Knowledge of project management principles, particularly the five primary phases: Identification, Initiation, Definition, Execution, and Close-out.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively and prepare clear reports.
- This expertise is typically gained through a four-year university degree in a relevant field, complemented by additional coursework in project management and business economics.
- Relevant experience in project management, including reviewing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and managing project execution phases.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve project goals.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a related role is preferred.
