Position Overview:

Job Title: Bilingual Human Resources Consultant
Department: Office of the CEO
Reports to: Manager, Human Resources
Language Requirement: Bilingual Imperative
Classification: 18-month Contract

Role Responsibilities:

  • Offer expert guidance and support to stakeholders on policies and procedures, comprehensive recruitment processes, employee relations, engagement strategies, talent development, compensation frameworks, benefits administration, health and safety compliance, and legislative adherence.
  • Identify and address organizational challenges and trends affecting the College, including employee morale, turnover rates, absenteeism, operational efficiency, and productivity.
  • Collaborate in the creation and presentation of training materials on various employment-related subjects.
  • Actively participate as a member of the Workplace Health and Safety Committee to assist the College in fulfilling its compliance obligations.
  • Prepare correspondence and other relevant materials, update the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and generate reports for stakeholders.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for documentation preparation, difficult conversations, interviews, and representing the College.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Experience with BambooHR is considered an asset.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in delivering a range of HR services and programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, trends, and relevant employment legislation.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
