Position Overview

We are in search of a proficient technician in instrumentation and control to enhance our team. This role entails the upkeep and troubleshooting of electronic systems within our facilities. Your responsibilities will encompass programming, calibrating, and repairing a variety of electronic instruments and automated machinery. Additionally, you will perform diagnostic evaluations to ensure the optimal performance of our industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute corrective and preventive maintenance on electronic components and automation systems
  • Program, calibrate, and resolve issues with various electronic instruments and automated equipment
  • Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of measurement instruments and control devices
  • Perform diagnostic tests and measurements utilizing control and analysis instruments
  • Enhance equipment performance and reliability
  • Maximize machine operational availability while ensuring long-term productivity and quality
  • Engage in maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systems
  • Interpret technical diagrams and schematics
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and ensure the quality of their work
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Possess a Diploma in Instrumentation and Control, Electronics, or a related field
  • Hold a certificate of competence in electrical work
  • Have a minimum of relevant experience in industrial maintenance
  • Exhibit physical fitness for the job
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both French and English
  • Show a keen interest in problem-solving and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret technical plans
  • Possess strong analytical and technical skills
  • Maintain a proactive and collaborative approach
  • Exhibit a passion for sustainable development

Work Environment:

This is a full-time permanent position that may require occasional evening shifts.
