Job Summary

Calian Group Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in providing healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for delivering psychological assessment and treatment services to military personnel at our medical clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct psycho-diagnostic assessments with adult populations, including differential diagnosis, to identify mental health conditions and develop treatment plans.
  • Treatment and Intervention: Provide evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and trauma processing therapies, to address a range of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, PTSD, depression, and stress management.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary mental health team in case reviews, leading and participating in the development, instruction, and counselling during sessions for specific mental illnesses.
  • Program Development and Evaluation: Assist in the identification, development, and evolution of mental health programming to support the health and wellbeing of military personnel.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited University by the Canadian Psychological Association or American Psychological Association, and registration as a Psychologist and authorization for autonomous practice with the appropriate provincial licensing body.
  • Experience: 2 years of full-time, post-graduate experience, under a license for autonomous practice, within the last 5 years, completing psycho-diagnostic assessments, including differential diagnosis, and providing treatments using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for adults with PTSD, anxiety, mood disorders, and other various mental health illnesses.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
  • Certifications: Current certification or willingness to obtain CPR Level C with AED.
