The Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of food preparation and service within a dynamic environment. This role involves managing staff, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service personnel, including training in sanitation and safety protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all food and service adhere to established quality control standards.
- Operational Planning: Develop methods to meet work schedules and prepare budgets and cost estimates for meal preparation.
- Customer Relations: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare reports as needed.
- Food Delivery Oversight: Supervise the assembly of trays and the delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely service.
This position is set in a fast-paced, often noisy environment where physical demands include standing for extended periods, bending, and walking. The role requires flexibility and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory role within food services.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client satisfaction and teamwork.
Employees in this role will work a schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week, requiring the ability to manage a team of 5-10 individuals, including food and beverage servers, kitchen helpers, and food preparers.
