Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Physician to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Family Physician, you will play a vital role in providing primary care services to our patients, with a focus on community health and HIV care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery of Primary Care Medical Services: Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients, including routine check-ups, health assessments, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Delivery of HIV Care and Treatment: Provide specialized care and treatment to patients living with HIV, including antiretroviral therapy and management of related health issues.
  • Health Education: Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: Family Practice Residency Completion, Licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, and current registered member in good standing.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a primary care, community health, and/or ambulatory care setting, with knowledge of health promotion strategies, community development, harm reduction, health equity, and client-centered concepts.
  • Assets: Experience and/or interest in HIV care and treatment, Hepatitis C management, mental health, and addictions care, knowledge of Accuro or similar Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, and fluency in languages other than English.
